Just find, or have a friend take a picture of you the way that you normally look. Don't go out and have photos taken in a studio just for your online profile. Studio photos are generally fairly deceiving. Posting a picture that makes you look like a supermodel, when you look nothing like it on a regular basis is deceptive. Be real.
Unless you're some celebrity, posting a picture with your profile shouldn't be that big a deal. Take a chance. Live a little. What do you have to lose?
